storms are coming to cali

“Bold prediction”, you’re saying to yourself.  Well, when you know you can’t ski next week and you’re jacked up on Norcos, you feel pretty bold, lemme tell ya.  So get used to these manic, drug induced ramblings from the flatlands humans.

It really is going to happen, tho.  A storm IS on it’s way and we ARE actually going to get snow! I don’t think it’s hurting that I can’t ski this week, either.  Whenever I’m away, it snows.

Regardless, we are in for it.  La Nina is coming back and she’s ready to kick some ass.  Some forecasts have us at up to 4 feet of snow before the weekend.  This is a good thing.  A damn good thing!

www.TahoeWeatherDiscussion.com is saying:

“My prediction stands at 2-4 feet by Saturday to stay on the conservative side and because the track of the second wave rotating around the low is in question. The trough may dig far enough South that the second batch of heavy snow Thursday & Friday may aim the best dynamics to our South, but we will still get snow. If the track stays further North then we could be adding a couple more feet.”

We’ll take the 2-4 and then look forward into next week.  Some of the models are saying that the whole thing is really gonna get started next week and that we are just gonna to get nailed.

What am I predicting?  Oh, you’re asking me now?  Okay, I’m fine with that.  I’m predicted that we get the same sort of ridiculous 6 week powder mayhem that happened this fall.  Non-stop powder for 35 days and you’ll be begging for a day off.

I need the forecast to go this way because I’ll be back next week and it’ll be full on and I’ll be SO ready to get out and kill it with you all at Squaw.  This has been the best winter of my life and I can’t wait to be back out there smiling and laughing and dropping off everything and not actually skiing at all.  That’s what it’s all about at Squaw, hucking, not skiing.
