The Matterhorn Bar and Grill is a local staple when it come to apres ski in the Stowe area. Located right on the Mountain Road, “The Horn” as many call it has great food, atmosphere and nightlife. From their world famous Brick Oven Pizza to their Sushi Bar, the Matterhorn’s menu is full of some good grub. Not only is their pizza delicious, but they have great specials like the “$5 off a Large before 5pm”. Not bad if you want a large pizza for around 10 bucks! Their Sushi bar menu is quite extensive and is a great alternative to most apres ski meals in Stowe. If you happen to hit The Horn on Thursday, you can get 3 sushi rolls for the price of 2! AWESOME! Aside from their main bar which pours tons of beer and any spirit you would like, they have a Martini Bar set in the back of the restaurant overlooking the river. It’s a great place to host a party or kick back and relax. The Horn always has some sort of nightlife going on too. Most of the time you’ll find Live Music, from Grateful Dead cover bands to awesome Reggae jams. While you’re listening to some good music, you can shoot some pool on one of their pool tables, or if you’re with the kiddies, they’ll enjoy playing the video games. If you’ve never hit up The Horn for some food, drinks or apres ski, I would highly recommend it! See ya there!
