One of the little talked about things about living in an awesome place like Salt Lake City is the fact that lots of your friends want to come visit you. This weekend I got a visit from my cousin Ryan and his buddy Keith. They are both from my hometown of Pine Bush, NY and still live there. It was really great to have the NY flavor in Utah for a few days.

Today at Solitude we had some dust on crust conditions with about 5 new inches on top of a crunchy hard layer left over from last week. I was having fun, and the fellas said it was the most fun day they ever had snowboarding. Who says dust on crust can’t be epic?

Typical of Solitude the lift lines were non-existant. I must say that the the chili at the mid mountain lodge was damn good too.
