The North Face Masters of Snowboarding 2011 series kicked off last weekend at Snowbird, Utah.  Snowbird had received some snow recently before the first day of competition, which was badly needed as many locals had been claiming worst conditions in 30 years!  We had a nice weather day in between the qualifiers and the finals, leaving the finals venue fresh with patches of rain crust on steeper aspects.

Aaron Robinson dropped first on finals day, and the judges awarded him the highest score of the day before heading into the super finals.  Ryland Bell was sitting close behind in second, I (Ralph Backstrom) was in third, followed by Ross Baker, and Alex Yoder; a pretty darn stacked super final!

The video is a little recap of the weekend, including some storm day shredding, with Ryland Bell, Andrew Irwin, Chris Galvin, and Ralph Backstrom.

The final results were:

1.  Aaron Robinson

2.  Ralph Backstrom

3.  Ryland Bell

4.  Ross Baker

5.  Adam DeVargas

6.  Alex Yoder

7.  John Rodosky

8.  Chris Galvin

8.  Jonathan Penfield

10.  Brock Butterfield

11.  Robert Hurley

12.  Cody Niggemyer
