The Shed Restaurant & Brewery is one of those spots in Stowe that is a must stop!  From their amazing food to their legendary beer, The Shed has remained a local hot spot for many, many years.

If you are a beer lover, you’ve got to stop in and grab a pint of their Mountain Ale (7 – 9% ABV).  It ‘s a great dark amber brew that tastes like liquid gold when it hits your lips after a day of skiing/shredding.  Add to that one of their huge delicious burgers, and you’ve landed in Apres Ski Heaven! Another wicked popular item is their Shepherd’s Pie.  Not only is it mouth watering version of the classic, but it is HUGE!  You might want to forget eating at the hill and starve yourself until you can get to The Shed.  It is another great way to end the day..

The Shed always has a great vibe going on too.  Not only is it filled with skiers coming off the hill, but it is generally filled with some great local Stowe peeps.  The bar is quintessential Vermont with beautiful woodwork, stickers from all over the world and a popcorn machine ready with free popcorn! If you are unsure of which beer to drink, I would suggest going with the Beer Shot Ski.  It’s a great way to sample six of the beers in a four-ounce sample, served on a ski (see below).

Another awesome feature of The Shed is the ability to take their beer with you when you leave.  You can buy/fill Growlers with their brew.  Again, the local fav is the Mountain Ale, which after a few pints at the bar and a growler at home will make you well on your way to a fun-filled night or a night passed out on the couch!

All in all, The Shed is one of those spots that is held close to Stowe local’s hearts.  It’s relatively inexpensive and one of the best brew pubs in Vermont.  So next time you are at the hill, you gotta stop at The Shed.  ‘Nuff said!
