This is a report on the deepest snowpacks at ski resorts in North America that are currently open as of April 11th, 2012.
The Snow Clearly Fell in the Northwest This Year.
- 4 of the top 5 deepest snowpacks are in Washington state.
- British Columbia wasn’t too far behind holding down 4 spots in the top 10.
- Washington tallied 5 of the top 20 spots
- British Columbia brought home 7 of the top 20 spots.
- California had a late season comeback strong to land it 2 spots in the top 20.
- Oregon grabbed 4 spots in the top 20.
- Alaska held on to 2 spots in the top 20.

Seems like WA should have hyped up there season more. I know it was snowing up there, but I didn’t see much video/photo/chimney evidence?

hey, you shouldn’t count alpental & snoqualmie both, or you should count snoqualmie at its base. The measurement is good for alpental, but snoqualmie should probably be around 130″ or so.
Stevens Pass Washington was at 191″ and 598″ for the year but did not make the list?

There is no way that Kirkwood has an almost 200 inch base. Did any of you watch the comp there last weekend? Looking real thin there.

Alpy was so sick this year. So was Crystal and Baker. Dec and Jan made me think the winter was gonna blow. It did however rain everyday from Feb to about last week in the lowlands. Didnt see the sun much for most of the start of 2012!
