Everyone knows that the Austrians produce some crazy porn but not everyone knows that the birth of Austrian ski porn can be traced all the way back to 1931. Der Weisse Rausch (The White Flame) is a full length film by Arnold Fanck and Leni Riefenstahl with a very simple storyline. Leni, a young German girl, is vacationing in St. Anton when the local ski instructors agree to organize a classic “fox-hunt”. Leni plays the “fox” who is chased by 40 skiers who are all trying to nail her. The story is a bit quirky but the real gem of this film is the classic 1930′s skiing action which is way ahead of its time.

Pretty sweet films which almost make up for the propaganda movies Leni Riefenstahl made for Hitler.

These were really good movies for the time; almost good enough to make up for the Nazi propaganda movies Leni Riefenstahl made for Hitler.
