I live in Vancouver, smack in the middle of Whistler and Mt. Baker. These photos just make me feel sorry for the East coasters

Those pics look fun, Jay is where its at on the EC, and there are some dudes who absolutely rip that mountain up.

Now, as for the Mid-Atlantic, it may be a joke, but I guarantee there are plenty of people who are stoked just to be able to get on the snow. Not everyone is lucky enough to be in an area that has the perfect trifecta of location, terrain and snow, but I bet that no matter where you are, it doesn’t change change people’s love for skiing and snowboarding, there are just times when people will take what they can get!

don’t shit on the east. if you can ride jay/smuggs/loaf.. you can rip anywhere. northern new england has a great vibe and we rip through trees that you couldn’t squeeze your ego through. ice makes us stronger.

makes it super easy …. jay is awesome. to the haters at SV…. we have what we have, no “chimney” but TONS of untouched snow in the woods. steep tight and just right.

      think snow.

last season in VT was the worst I can recall probably ever. however, the feb 26th weekend at Jay was epic, I was fortunate enough to get up there that fri night in the early hours to experience that snowfall. It all melted the next week. I also went to LCC a few weeks later and unfortunately we were thinking about how deep it was at Jay the whole time as snowbird had some uncharacteristic hardpack crusty-ness going on. If I closed my eyes and just listened to the sound of ice and hard snow that week I would have thought I was in the Poconos. Oh well. Of course, next season I’m sure the west will get it’s usual snow totals again and I will read about it on this site while I throw up in my mouth.
